”"The Cambodia-International Economic Cooperation Development Association" together with its working group colleagues were invited to participate in the meeting to review the progress of the tourism working group (Group "B") of the Royal Government-Private Sector Forum, which was held at the Ministry of Tourism on April 1, 2026, under the chairmanship of His Excellency Huot Hak, Minister of Tourism, to review the progress and inspire a spirit of unity between the Ministry of Tourism and the private sector to continue to put in place a number of necessary and urgent measures to maintain the flow of national and international tourists to Cambodia.
The meeting was also attended by relevant ministries and institutions, representatives of development partners, national and international organizations, and the private sector from various enterprises, businesses, and companies, totaling approximately 150 people. The meeting focused on promoting domestic tourism, meaning that the Ministry of Tourism, relevant institutions, and private sector representatives will continue to strengthen rapid response mechanisms to effectively address some challenges and keep up with the situation.

H.E. Huot Hak, Minister of Tourism, considered the Tourism Meeting (Group “B”) of the Royal Government-Private Sector Forum to be an important meeting of the partnership mechanism between the state and the private sector in the tourism sector to jointly address the challenges facing the sector, respond to requests, and put forward key measures to ensure the resilience of the Cambodian tourism sector, based on the principles of thinking together, acting together, and taking responsibility, which are consistent with the six pillars of the Ministry of Tourism, namely the participation of all sectors, all levels, and all parties, namely both the state and the private sector.


Turning to the ”Cambodia-International Economic Cooperation Development Association”, whose Vice President, Ms. Pheng Kantheabori, led her working group to participate in the tourism meeting (Group “B”) of the Royal Government-Private Sector Forum, this is also a demonstration of attention to recent developments in the global situation as well as in the country related to the business, trade, and investment sectors, especially the tourism sector.


Taking this opportunity, the Vice President also stated to the members of the association and partners, companies, enterprises, traders, businessmen and other businessmen that the Cambodia-International Economic Cooperation Development Association "has a mission to ensure that entrepreneurs, traders, businessmen, investors and visitors come together to discuss and explore methods and means towards progress together, contribute to humanitarian activities, culture and socio-economic affairs, as well as help coordinate and support the association members in cooperation and alliances in partnership with businessmen at home and abroad, aiming to facilitate the work of participating in the development of the Cambodian economy, contributing to the Royal Government of Cambodia towards the vision of 2050, Cambodia leaving a low-income country to become a high-income country.
